Connect the red wire

To the blue wire,

And watch as sparks

Of flaming tongue drops drip

Into the gears that click

Your soul into place.

It works the smog factory

In your chest

And as you exhale electricity,

Make sure you’re not standing

Next to water.

Stand on the tallest fence

And let the barbed wire

Rekindle into your ankles,

Oh how they have missed you.

Bend your battery knees

And stretch your tin fingertips

Feel the sensation

Of friction

Your metallic bones haven’t felt

For an age.

Open your sensory eyes

And store in rusty memory

All the changes that

Passed in the age

Of your

But now awake

Explore your New World

In vintage coffins of skin and oil,

Your relic status cannot hinder

The capacity of thought.
