Orange,

Every time I take a bite I see your kitchen,

Lonely; the kitchen will never be full without you.

Scratchy,

Every time I take a bite the past is harder to swallow,

Tired; without you I may never catch up on the sleep I've missed.

Chewy,

Every time I take a bite I hear your clock,

Frustrated; the sound it makes is stuck in my head for hours.

Tangy,

Every time I take a bite I taste melancholy,

Bittersweet; you're not here to share them with me anymore.
