An Ode to Sleep

O Sleep! How You fill my head with wonders! I succumb to the rest You bring, and the gratifying relief my tired eyes and my weary body long for, after a laborious day devoured by an unyielding world. Relief, and with it the exploration of a new world. Thy wonders fill my head with imaginative, daring dreams. They always surprise me with their theatrical productions playing out behind the curtains of my eyelids. Entertaining my brain that never sleeps. At night, those around me see a still girl, dead to the world. I see life! Dazzling colors, creative characters, and perfect plots that always seem to end a second too soon. Sleep, so precious to life, I could never live without You!
