Ode to an Oak Tree

Oh Great Oak

Your branches stumps themselves

Your roots snakes overlapping

Your leaves lush and colorful

Oh Warm Oak

Birds sing in your embrace

Squirrels gather in your arms

Rich brown radiates from your body

Oh Lonely Oak

This city was built around you

Only you stand triumphant

Concrete is your only competition

Why do you stand so tall?
