An Ode to a Knight

This is the tale of a man named Bruce,
Such a sad and lonely heart,
He's lived a life no man should endure,
Things were bad from the very start.

He watched his parents die,
And at a very young age,
But this is what brought about his "new birth",
This is what set the stage.

He grew alone, rich and wealthy,
His only companion his butler,
But Alfred could not compensate,
This playboy needed much more.

As a man he searched for his true calling,
But he found nothing that could fill the void,
Losing hope, he shunned the rest of the world,
His soul was virtually destroyed.

He looked around, but only saw crime,
And in the face of it everyone ran,
This was it, time for correction.
Bruce Wayne became the Batman.
