Justice denied at fourteen
Beaten, shot, dumped
Death finally claiming to end your pain
Where is justice I yell
An eerie response echoes
Not here at Tallahatchie River

Where is justice I yell
Not here responds the steps of the courthouse

Where is justice I yell
Not here responds Jim Crow

The pain from the heart is unbearable
The chains wrapped around the segregated South is relentless

Where is justice I yell
Here I AM
I AM the force and the light that will change the world

I AM the voice for the Emmett Tills of the world
Here I AM
I AM the Civil Rights Movement

Peace, rest Emmett
You have paved the way
I will hold your hand to comfort you
I AM your friend
I AM your greatest champion

After the violent storm you painfully endured, I AM your rainbow

Peace, rest Emmett
Civil Rights Movmement is HERE
