An Ode to Change

Upon a single wish,

there is but to change.

To change what?

They question.

To change whom.

My answer.

Change who?

They ask.

Myself.

I reply.

For what reason?

I am asked.

For I live everyday, but i do not Live;

I look to Her eyes, but i do not See;

I eat with Her, but i cannot Taste;

I listen to Her voice , but i cannot Hear;

The scent of Her perfume surrounds her, but i cannot Smell;

I feel Her skin, but I remain incapable of Touch.

I Reply.

Looking to them one more time,

For when i am with Her, i feel so inhumane,

Her very being vibrates with such Life and Prosperity,

My own, Monotonous and Straight.

She sees all the wonders

I see only faults

If i were to change my outlook on Life

Maybe, Just Maybe

I can Live

and if i can live then all the rest can come to fruition,

and never again will i see Her cry.
