Obstacles

We've been fighting for equality for hundreds of years

My ancestors had to shed blood , sweat & tears for me to be here.

The paths for others was clear but ours had a lot of debris,

It's ok to disagree but in my “o.p” for them it was easy.

They never taught us how to speak, write or read

…Yet we still succeed

They treated us like property not people

To them we just weren't as equal

We overcame slavery,segregation and discrimination

... Now look at the president of our nation.
