Observing a War God

He bakes a lot for a lot of people to see

“We do good work by giving Him what He may need”

says the floating Honey Bee.

hovering over berries, ready to bleed.

As soldiers did march to their wars

They watch him fold his sleeves up

They are but brave conquistadors

And will be turned into pulp

There is this man on YouTube who I watch during quarantine

He works gently as a breeze tossing a bright buttercup

He makes cakes, fondants, crepes and poutine

He works for hours just to get the perfect raspberry syrup
