Numb

Sun, 10/02/2016 - 22:22 -- kc97

Let the darkness bring light,

Let the cold bring warmth,

Let the drought bring rain,

Let the storm bring the calm.

Oh, let her soul be free

of the burdens she does not know.

Oh, her mind became numb

long before she knew.

Her soul bears the scars

the ones left behind from the demons.

Yet, there was hope for her,

          Always hope.

As the Lord said, "For she is my child, let her breathe."

And she responded, "Lord, my faith fell, let your breath awaken and heal my soul for I am you child."
