Now You See Me, Now You Don't

Thu, 02/23/2017 - 03:45 -- itskay

You came up to me and introduced yourself

We exchanged hellos and foes

We became friends

I was happy to finally find someone who found me

We shared dreams and nightmares while we laid on the roof of an abandoned house

We have similar interest but it’s nothing like pinterest

We hang out and go everywhere together

Buy icecream and watch late night movies and fall asleep with the Tv on

I turn to look at you while you sleep and feel happiness for the first time and think

“Now You See Me”

I’m happy to be around you, you're like a drug I can’t get enough of

Your full of positivity and determination

I always envied you for that.

I’ve known you for years since the beginning of time

But then one day you changed

You were a completely different person and I didn’t recognize you which scared me

What happened to the ray of sunshine that greeted me every morning?

What happened to the smile that you gave me everyday?

What happened to the person I loved?

I once thought you saw me

“Now You Don’t”

But I didn’t want to give up on you

Because I knew you didn’t like who you were becoming

So I became your ray of sunshine

Gave you smiles everyday

Became your positivity and warmth

Day by day I saw glimpses of the person I loved before

Then one day,

YOU were the one who greeted me with smiles and warmth

YOU became that ray of sunshine

For Me

And then I knew

“Now You See Me”

Again.
