Nothing new

Revelation 3:16

16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.

Nothing new

A long time ago I visited tomorrow

It seems kind of senseless living today

My hand curled around the wrong end of a plow

That was of my own making for someone else to pay

Don’t look and accept the life of past sorrow

For then you have the right to dress it dark grey

And all the answers given will really somehow

Prepare your solemn future completely out of date

So where to go from here as callousness is growing

Shaping the heart as such into the mold of the world

Disguised as caring but full well in the knowing

That the embrace of selfish will grow like tropical fern

The end of tomorrow is here in history’s glowing

We can’t learn of the future as it seems unfurled

The past now on our back we’re toting as we’re going

As now and then really, all things before us are burned
