Nothing Lasts Forever

A simple friendship began our story,
Till we got closer to each other’s heart.
Although I may have been somewhat leery,
Our love connection was strong from the start.

Nothing in the world could separate us.
You brought me happiness through any storm,
And always told me that I was gorgeous.
On cold winter days you would keep me warm.

Our time together, like a fairy tale,
And you were my faithful partner in crime.
Things went wrong and you decided to bale.
Oh how I wish I could turn back the time.

I will never love someone else, ever.
Now I know that nothing lasts forever
