Not in Plain Sight
Location
So much of who we aim to be comes from what we inspire.
Without thought we feel what we idolize.
But not everything we inspire is seen in physical sight.
For I am inspired by one whom I cannot see.
She is the strongest person I have come to know.
Me.
I inspire myself for I am the one who has crossed over the mountain.
I have taken that step into learning to take life into my own hands.
I have come to understand I control my future.
I took this understanding and have never given up.
I have the strength to not let things control my life.
I have taken the negative in my life and turned it around.
I have let these things not affect me but rather teach me to grow.
I took this growth and matured at a human being gaining knowledge along the way.
I have come to understand the difference between right and wrong.
I have learned that mistakes are made.
I have come to accept the mistakes I’ve made.
I took these mistakes as a learning experience.
I have seen the worst my eyes could ever witness.
I have an understanding that not everything in life is fair.
I have worked for what I want because it was never provided on a silver platter.
I took this work seriously and as a result have received more than I could’ve asked for.
I have dealt with the struggle.
I have learned to love my psycho dysfunctional family.
I have come to understand that they are all for the rest of my life.
I inspire myself because in the end I am the one in control of myself and my decisions define my future.
