Nor Anything You Do

Mon, 08/05/2019 - 20:39 -- LEchols

I think not of you,

nor anything you do.

as the sun turns another round,

and the stars continue to fall down,

as my heart beats loud and true,

I think not of you, nor anything you do.

when the bird lays down its head,

and makes itself a comfy bed

up in the sky, a deep, dark blue -

I think not of you, nor anything you do.

the seasons change, love goes and goes,

the summer beach, our winter clothes;

there is nothing left of me and you -

I think not of you, nor anything you do.

I rest my eyes; I count my sheep.

I drift and drift and drift to sleep.

defeat? oh, no. the beast - slew.

so I think not on you, nor anything you do.
