No one knows the little girl

No chinks in my armor

No cracks in my facade

I go into the world everyday

With a smile on

With makeup and hair all done

I see old friends

I make new ones

I laugh and joke and tease and play

And no one knows the little girl

Ugly from sickness

Hair falling out

Bloated

Pinched

In pain

Crying out for help but receiving only silence

Her family tired of trying

Tired of failing

Sends her to her room

And there she lays

Locked in my mind

Sobbing on the floor

Fighting for a life she doesn't think she deserves
