No one is that dumb ... really?

Isaiah 40:31

31 But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.

Like a peacock … looking pretty …

Fluttering wings … never getting off the ground

Flapping your jaws … thinking you’re witty

Going to a mountain … then jumping off the mount

Searching the heavens for simple truth within

Gazing into the distance for a sign

Crawling into space where you’ve already been

Hoping to find the new in some rhyme

Walking hand in hand with some misunderstanding

Draped as a curtain across the wall

Taking off on high without a place for landing

without any equipment or hope to break the fall

Blaming now others for your predicament

Pointing your fingers at them all

They are looking up in great amazement

Admiring your flight and waving as you fall

They don’t understand for no one is that dumb

To take off without planning how to land

They will know the better as here and there a crumb

Is found as you splatter in your uncontrolled descent
