No More Waiting

I waited in the hall once,

Looked around

And no one was there,

I glanced at her while she waited impatiently

I smiled, and walked away

Heard a laughter, and looked back

There she was

There he was

Together.

My heart dropped to the floor

Stepped on by everyone

Picked it up and walked away.

And now he waits for me there

I look at him and laugh

Passing by him with no regret

His heart falling to the floor

Stepped on,

And too slippery to catch.

Thank you for the lesson

Because I no longer have to wait for you.
