No Mask

I am not frightened around you,

your appearance makes me bolder.

I am not substandard around you,

your words make me stronger.

There is one thing about you though,

that is your mask.

Your mask morphed you into an abhored creature, but I am not fearful.

I had a mask once, do you remember?

You snatched it, crushed it and shaped it onto your face.

And now, I will take the mask and pulverize it until it is gone.

We don't need masks.

We were created like this for a reason, for a purpose, there is no hiding.

Together, we shall overcome our phobia.

Let darkness carry the mask away,

for now our faces shall unveil,

revealing its true purpose.
