no hard feelings.

Location

a girl with abandonment issues and a boy with attachment issues fall in love.

the girl looks for the decades worth of love lost from her father in empty relationships and meaningless moments in bed with strangers

while the boy is a stranger to himself.

she stays in her house because she’s still waiting for her dad who walked out on her all those years ago to come back while the house she refuses to let go of is collapsing all around her.

the boy is oblivious to the gravity of his circumstances and dares not to venture out because of the pull that daddy’s money has on him or more so the bullying that forced that sweet boy he was and still is to hide in the first place.

the girl keeps that letter from her dad in a safe place while letters, notes, and piano keys are the boys safe place; he plays to her the melody of the words “i love you,” the words that she has never heard before and is yet to see the beauty of.

when a girl with abandonment issues and a boy with attachment issues fall in love, they reveal to each other necessary truths. he reveals to her that the house built on lies is no longer a home while she reveals that he is good enough on his own.

they’ve grown with each other in so little time, but just enough for a fraction of their hearts to intertwine and for all their issues to fade away, reassuring each other that they will be okay.
