The night air is calm, quiet
Yet somehow eerie.
Stillness screams in the dark
Without so much as a whisper.
Trees bend and twist with the wind
Their shadows creeping into minds
Stealing comfort, safety.
Quiet, stillness, shadows
All simple and harmless
Until found by the mind.
Mutated into monsters by men
Simple nature turned into
A projection of evil.
