New Responsibilities

Her face lit up with a glow

Sparkles in her eyes

The great news she'd ever know

Is that she would be changing lives.

She knew that this was going to change it all

From her pockets to her qualities

She would always be the one on call

And that's when she realized her full-on responsibilites.

As she looked at the kids' files surrounding her

She paused, hope in her smile

Giving her cream-based coffee a stir,

It was now clear that she was the adult now.
