Never understood ...

Proverbs 9:6

Forsake foolishness and live,
And go in the way of understanding.

Obadiah 8 New King James Version (NKJV)

“Will I not in that day,” says the Lord,
“Even destroy the wise men from Edom,
And understanding from the mountains of Esau?

Never understood the purpose of it all

at times some glimpses show me part of it.

Will it make a difference in the way I’m living

or will I ignore most of it about ready to quit?

Is not ignorance a gift simply bestowed by self?

The less you know the less you care ... a call into the dark.

Selfish satisfaction the glamour of your life

and so exist completely in a life without a spark.

If I was a babe again helpless and as can be

everyone would love me ... if they had any sense.

Now I’m grown up and despite all of my pleas

no one pays me any mind unless under pretense.

Reading from the past and the cruel human nature

even little babes were not save at all.

Smashed into the walls or fed to the wild creatures

humanity at its best ... has the answers after all.

Look at abortion! Tear the babes apart

even if it kills me ... in my very heart.

Intelligence now ruling ... we are oh so smart

As most all think to go to heaven ... in an applecart.
