Never Could I Forget

I never could forget her face

A light in such, the darkest place

For truth that lies within the wind

Never to be seen again

I could forget who lost my heart

Once upon a work of art

But never could I forget her face

My light with in this darkest place

Never could I forget her words

How her tongue would curl, and lips would curve

At the sound of such a sentence as this

"I love you" as I watch her lips

I thought she'd never be mine instead

She never seems to leave my head

Never could I forget her words

That cut like knives but never hurt

Never could I forget the day

I met her when the sky was gray

The ground was wet with her tears

And her eyes were misted with her fears

I wiped them away and sang a song

Of hope she could have that he was wrong

And I was right because she would be mine

She would stel my heart from deep inside

Where hid I had kept it from anyones reach

And though many times I tried to teach

That my heart was broken and not worth it to hold

That my hands shouldnt hold hearts for my fingers are cold

She still came forward and held the pieces

To put them together, and as the pain ceases

I remember when I had first saw her face

When I had first seen the beauty I would love by her grace

Never could I forget the day

She went and took my breath away
