Need: a Careless Word
Need is a careless word. We need
78.09% nitrogen,
20.95% oxygen,
0.93% argon,
0.039% carbon dioxide,
0.003% other gasses,
and varying amounts of water vapor. We need
a birth giver. We need
the fertilization of an egg. We need
homeostasis, resperation, and excretion.
Just google Maslow's heirarchy of needs.
Want is also pathetic. We want
mental stimulation,
sleep,
love,
beauty,
youth,
and protection. We want
a mother. We want
a father. We want
good health, good food, a good life.
Our basic wants and needs are all the same.
Desires are stronger. I desire to
climb mountains,
inspire happiness,
break down hate,
build up love,
prevent fear,
and shatter glass ceilings so that they can never be rebuilt. I desire to
put the world into color and make everyone see the beauty. I desire to
turn pain into a stained glass, visible and breakable.
I desire to reveal all the light in the world that we cannot see, and make it shine all the brighter.
