National Debt

Thu, 01/02/2014 - 14:52 -- 1996HGR

I watch the television and turn on to the news

Some children starving in Africa and a nation in debt

There are so many, never too few

That knows about the debt that is set

Our parents’ debts made our own

People loosing their houses they once called home

Our own future has been woven and sewn

And single mothers are left all alone

One could try to make a change

Try to make it all the while

But now people are causing estrange

Still wanting to help through the trials

They seem so blind and helpless to see

That the one who really wants to help is me
