A Napkin's Worth of Knowledge

Write what you know, they say.

Write what you know. What do I know?

I don't know how to trust (you can thank my dad for that)

I don't know how to seperate dreams from reality

I don't know how to reach out when I am drowning.

The list of things I don't know can fill a universe

The list of things I do know can barely fill a napkin.

I know the difference between 'an ending' and 'the end'

I know I haven't reached the latter one yet

I know I have thoughts I cannot contain

And most of all I know that now is the time that matters.

How could I ever hope to capture such wonderings between pages and ink?

How can I hope to write of the few things I know?
