My World

Location

I see the world through the face looking back in the mirror
Eyes that have seen too much to bare
Things coming from the heart like an acid
Holding back the things I want to say
Things no one takes for the faint of heart

Where you live does not make you who you want to be
Nothing but you and me and a few miles between
The color of our skin makes no difference to my black and white eyes
Seeing through the lies of all of those who stand before me

Feeling the beat of the music by rhythm
Feeling it in the night
Hurting myself out of spite
Wanting nothing more than to fight
To know what is right
And what is wrong.
With you and me, I cant make you see
The world through another’s eyes
Looking to the skies
Seeing over the stars
Seeing nothing but the scars that the past has on your face
This whole human race is a disgrace
feeling out of place
Keeping up with the race
Loving you but not me.

Holding the world in my head
Feeling with dread
Going to sleep in my bed
Thinking of what we said
My heads turned to lead
My feet numb like ice
My hands pale as the moon
My eyes darker than you
My true self isn’t true
Nothing more from you

Bunny rabbit in a cage
No one can be saved
Lost in a cave
Darker than night
Shadows afraid of light
This whole world isn’t right
