My Wonderland

You were my eleven eleven.
Watch the clock, see it change,
make a wish you petty girl.
Close your eyes squeeze tight, no peeking!
Some wishes shouldn't come true.

Open my eyes, see the item of desire.
Little does one know that mutuality exists.
The feeling seemingly lingered in you too.
Soon falling. Too fast. Like Alice I had a rabbit hole.

New scenes, unknown to me.
Take me places with strange allures.
The real world ceases to exist.
Only you, the white rabbit
Silly me as Alice
and our Cheshire Cat of being in like.
Cheshire Cats disappear.

You as my guide I maneuvered through my wonderland.
You ran ahead and I was lost.
Finding a new Alice, or maybe one of old.
Either or you dropped me like a soiled tissue. Don't get your hands dirty boy.
Get up darling. Drag yourself out of this rabbit hole.

Wonderland gone. Burning ash. Fields of desire turned to fire.
Back to the real world. I become a construction worker. Scum of the city.
My job, build walls.
A fortress, or a pulley system.
Keep this Alice from fall down the hole again.

Silly rabbit. Can't trick me.
White rabbits and Cheshire Cats come and go.
Listen to your sister Alice
Keep your head on straight.
Get an education get a job.
Be the monotonous automaton society sees you as.
Climb your corporate ladder.
Push others down.
We never grew up our game King of the Hill just changed.

Like school children striving for the impossible.
Swing over the pole.
Pump harder, Harder, HARDER!
Only to fall once more.
Down our ever changing rabbit holes.
Stuck in a never-ending wonderland.
