My Wish for a Blackfish

Location

Is it humane?

To keep such an exquisite animal in a tank,

All for our personal gain.

Captured at the age of two,

Tilikum has built up a mound of rage.

Wouldn’t you?

The current death count is three.

Many are protesting for Tilikum’s release,

But Seaworld just can’t afford the small fee.

Society blames the whale.

How dare he act out after being viciously kidnapped?

But isn’t it society’s fail?

We see beauty in nature and we feel the need to obtain it.

Who cares what the whale wants?

So we put it in a tank too small and make the whale fit.

What is my one wish?

For Seaworld to release Tilikum into the wild,

And let him swim with the other blackfish.
