My Whisper
My one true call to nature, to life, to existence
I love the sound of Opera and someday you’ll hear me singing it
Because I can
They won’t hold me back
I write because I‘m human: simple as that
Those people don’t understand
All I grasp is one world, one race, one life
Latin, Greek, Roman this is history not separation
Country, tall, short, fat, rock’n’roll
What is fat anyways?
Happiness is a choice and I have a voice
Stand altruistic fool
I write 'cause I have something to say
I like clover flowers even though momma says they’re a weed
And there’s this paved freeway I ride, on my way to work.
It holds dreams
I write 'cause my poppa loves to read my poems
And for once, just once I want to be free of their ubiquitous stereotypes.
To swim in passion, but for what?
Simply because and it’s not mine to take from him or her. But to give
so I write cause I must
Impassioned plea, don’t disgust me
All these people
I see various colors, I see squinted eyes
Maybe the truths too bright
Vivacious green
Rough hold me tight Safe from flight
I write 'cause all I hear is human
Inner fears whisper from my ears
Words that sever, must be safe on paper
Blinding those people must fight
Stand with my gift, my voice
High school dropout, still human
He’s my friend, blazing orange hair only see human
I write because there are so many words calling my name, lusting for the opportunity to be used
Used for good, used for living
Words ready to be given as little presents, wrapped in precious bows
I write 'cause some can’t
Held back by fears, pains, what’s more lack of knowledge
I write to prove these are my brothers and my sisters
I write to remain human.
To remind humans
Shhh close your eyes and for this single moment revel in the life which surrounds you
It is not your own, yet it will forever remain an inextricable part of you
Deep breath and feel human
