My Student: Gone Too Soon

Many years ago,

I met you,

seeking to find your dreams,

to some locked doors,

You continued to strive,

No matter,

what came your way,

and with all of my help as your teacher,

Until God's doors opened to you.

I found out you graduated from high school

with honors.

Earlier this year,

you were a freshman in college,

I was so proud of you,

to see your dreams finally coming true.

Then tradegedy struck,

I didnot want it to be you,

And then before we all knew it,

you were gone too soon.

Even though you're gone,

your dream still lives on.
