My Love

Thu, 09/08/2022 - 16:47 -- Onix

I wish I could pluck you like a flower,

And carry you around all day.

Keeping you in my pocket,

Safe from everyone else.

I wish I could trap you in a jar like a firefly,

With your light keeping me safe.

Just like I would keep you,

Safe from everyone else.

But at the end of the day,

The flower is wilted,

And the firefly is dead.

It seems like my love wasn't enough to keep you,

Safe from everyone else.
