My Little June Bug

In June two-thousand and nine,

God gave me a June bug to call mine.

Your eyes shined so softly and brown,

I then knew nothing could bring me down.

As I gazed at your tiny features so little and so sweet,

Soon I knew you would be walking with the world beneath your feet.

Now you stand so tall with hair white as snow,

Only if you knew your radiant beauty from head to toe.

Seeing how fast you continue to grow,

Sometimes I only wish that time would slow.

You are more than just my pride and joy as some would say,

You are the one and only son that brings light to my every day.
