My Letter to the World

I leave the world with my most prized possession.

My heart.

That beats to the rhythm of all

caging their feelings

selflessly forgetting its own purpose.

A heart unafraid and aware of the checkpoints in life

being broken, taken advantage of, and hurt

A heart so diligent

it will bleed without knowing

So caring to protect and love.

A heart that will hold the longest grudges-

Keep the most sorrow-

Carry the most hatred-

Not always joyous

Not always positive.

But always loving

A heart that beats for others

concealing the weight

It carries everyday.

A heart with a bigger purpose than itself
