My Husband, Nature, and I

Weep with me

Weeping Willow,

My beloved is dead and gone.

Show me

Traveled path,

I need to know how to move on.

Kiss me

Gentle breeze,

I have forgotten how to breathe.

Where are you Mother Nature?

I have one request, I pray.

Make my husband a phoenix,

Take his ashes, grey,

And make him something beautiful

So I can see him again one day.

How could you Father Time?

I trusted you with my Lifeline,

And then you took him away.

I have one request, I pray.

Take my time here with Mother,

Shorter every day.

Why did you leave me Dear Husband?

You promised me forever and ever,

So why aren’t you with me today?

I will meet you in my dreams at midnight,

And do what I should have done That Day.

I will hold you in my arms and tell you,

“I will love you for all my days.”
