My First Mesh

When I first met you, I instantly became attached. I did not understand itNor the feelings that hatched.  Maybe because you engaged me,Amidst the chaotic landscapeThrough thinking of youI found an escape  From the abusive demandsIn a horrid home life Where two parents clamored for meTo be the man they fantasized  From a high schoolThat was living up to the stereotypesOf the schools in Lean on MeAnd Dangerous Minds  And your aesthetic appealI found alluring And as the years went by I found it enduring   My parents never knewI kept the details fromThem- for that KnowledgeWould have resulted in a maelstrom   Two decades later,We remain just friends It’s better that waySince we differ in preference
