My Family, My friends, and You

When I feel alone

and my emotions flood on in,

When texts and pics on my phone

haunt me with an evil grin

I'm lost, I'm sad

I'm afraid of the loneliness.

I'm lost,  I'm sad

I fear the emptiness

Then my family hugs me,

assures me I'm not wrong.

My family loves me,

and says the pain won't last long

But if I'm still lost,  still sad

still afraid of the loneliness.

Still lost, still sad

still fearing the emptiness

Then a message from Her clears the pain,

her smile brightens up my life.

Her laughter is heard through thundering rain,

her thoughts get me through any strife.

But if I'm still lost,  still sad

still afraid of the loneliness.

Still lost, still sad

still fearing the emptiness

Then I escape the pain and the fear,

fly to somewhere far and new.

I keep my head up, and never shed a tear

I explore, I love, with family,  friends, and you.
