My eyes hurt

Location

My eyes hurt, but I dare not close them.
Sleep is calling me,
But I fear the darkness will encase me.
In my dreams it slays me.
Oh! how it craves thee.
I don't want to.
Make me.

My eyes hurt, but I dare not close them.
For I fear I will never see light again.
Still, let sleep consume me.
And leave ominous shadows looming.
For now, let me simply stay soaring.
And I shall leave my troubles behind.
Til morning.
