My better Half

Sun, 02/21/2016 - 02:03 -- kma16

Although She’s driven me insane

            We could not live apart.

We’re bound by chromosomes

            And blood: an interesting art.

She grabs me by the hair and pulls;

            Can barely leave Us alone.

We’ll bite and scratch and hurt

Each Other; verbally, to the bone.

She is always with me, though:

            My only constant comfort.

I could not live without Her near,

            Knowing She will not wonder.

Where I’ve been? If I’m okay?

            Completely void of contact.

She would go out of Her mind

            Because I’m Her other half.

She would be my only need

            We’ll be Each Other’s notebooks.

We would not need a life raft when Our

Lives are right in front of Us.

There is no question, and I’ve no doubt

That She’s all that I’ll need.

And I have no questions, nor any doubt,

That She’d say the same thing about me.
