My Bane

I have been waiting on my forever,

and i have found forever in your eyes.

They could not fathom this, however,

but in your eyes, i could see the sunrise.

I am looking for a story to unfold,

and founf it buried in your palms, your hands.

Others tell me these thoughts are like fools gold,

but when we part your touch lingers like sand.

Yet, my dear, i fear what they say is true.

Your eyes do not know me, hands can not touch.

For you are not near, a dream I pursue.

You can can not see me and it hurts so much.

But you are worth the emotional pain.

I have nothing to lose, you are my bane.
