My Angel

Your wings are strong

Made of pearl and gold

With emeralds inlaid

Surrounded by the brightest rubies

Your wings are so beautiful

No matter what I've said

You've stood by me

Even as the book closed

You stand by me

Making sure I'm never lost

But ever since they called on you

And tore at your hair

You've been acting different

You've laid down your sword

And left me searching in the stars

Why do you let them bother you so?

You who shines brighter than the sun--

You can't stop trying

Because your wings won't spread

Angel please

Keep on fighting for me

And what you believe in

Your eyes are clear

Made out of glass and steel

With sapphires inlaid

Surrounded by the brighest rubies

Your eyes are so beautiful

No matter where I've run

You've followed me

Even as the blood poured

You follow me

Making sure I'll find my way home

But ever since they chased you down

And plucked at your ears

You've been acting different

You've thrown aside your shield

And left me riding on the moon

Why do you let them bother you so?

You who shines brighter than the sun--

You can't stop trying

Because your eyes won't see

Angel please

Keep on fighting for me

And what you believe in

You are so beautiful, don't you know?

I will always gaze upon you

And wish I had your strength

Angel please

Fight for me
