Our leaders are in a haze

the fog has settled to stay

tisk tisk to school systems these days

teachers do not come to teach, yet they do not come for pay

what would one then say,

is the reason they come,

one shall say that the leaders are in a haze,

children are taught to memorize a test ,

America our schools are a mess

good old fashioned pencil and paper,

with a hint of discipline and guidence shall get the job done,

but wait our leaders are in a haze

they just come to see the day

not actually here nor there,

as a teacher you have a responsibility

to teach, to guide, to inspire,

if your heart seems not to care

then you the teacher shall teach yourself

the lesson that should be guiding,

if the leader is in a haze

do not coward and wander in your daze 

simply just move over and away

so a true leader can change the day
