When I was 5 I'd wake up and watch my mom start her day,

I always prayed she'd be back early

9 to 9 she'd be gone,

she would wake up with a smile,

come back and cook our food

when we asked her why she worked so hard

she said it is for you

the struggle of watching my mom work herslelf so hard

made me realize how much time flies,

how much a mom cares about her spawn

this is why I go to college

even one i can't afford

to live a life i never dreamed about

one that would never make me bored

i inpire to be a manager

to motivate and lead

one day i will repay her

with the job of my dreams

she is my motivation,

my one and only stride

when i become successful

she will be my prize
