A Mothers Touch

Sat, 11/09/2013 - 16:57 -- aricot

Day 1:
I am a seedling
Mommy's warmth hovers over my body,
She loves me.
Protector
Mommy helps me grow strong.

Day 5:
I am a sprout, a little bigger now.
Mommy helps me stand.
I am weak.
I will grow like mommy one day.
I am dependent
I have mommy by my side.

Day 15:
I stand tall.
I am bigger now, mommy still loves me.
The sun is out, each ray, warm, kisses my cheeks.
My leaves are growing
I am almost open.
Mommy is still beside me.

Day 25:
Why so low?
I look to mommy.
She is sick
Mommy needs me.
I stand her up, the sun tucked back behind the clouds
I am afraid
I am no longer strong
I need mommy's help

Day 30:
I am okay today
I have grown a little taller,
With my petals open.
A few more leaves
Mommy wilts beside me
Her body cumbersome.
Mommy protected me
She loved me
She helped me grow.
I will stand for her
But,
Mommy please don't go?
She whispers softly, its time to let go.
Mommy falls to the cold soil
She is home.

Day 1:
My warmth hovers over my seedling
I love her
I will protect, until it is time to go.
She is mine.
She will stand tall and grow
With her petals opened to the suns kisses
A few more leaves and lots of love.
