Mother's Sorrow

Sun, 05/25/2014 - 12:48 -- AJay

They get mad when their children are taken

But we are to remain calm

They are yelling and red when their children get bullied

But mine are to suffer while I watch in silence

They yell when their daughter's Bible is confiscated

But mine cannot reat her Qu'ran in peace

Their children can wear whatever they want

But my daughter gets named for her sari

We are not the ones who blew down those towers

Did you not see him be killed?

So do not punish my child for her religion

Tons of other religions have sinned

Did no one hear about all those shootings

In which young and old were massacred

Did no one see the religion of Hitler

Hear the names upon his words

Now wait in front of their school

With a heaviness in my soul

Please return our stolen daughters

And leave my religion alone.
