Chained to your crosses in your house of God
Weighted down by your guilt
Drowning in your self loathing and then in mine
Unbearable days and nights enduring the drought of your love
The light of freedom peeks through a crack
Slowly reaching out for me.
I put out my hand and grasp the wispy ends
With a shock you hold on and pull me into the light
My rebirth
Hope, love, courage you are my new mother
All else is left behind in the dark
Born again into a love that cannot be taken or chained.
Beauty is me.
