Moses

Moses

Numbers 20:8 & 11

“Take the staff and assemble the community, you and Aaron your brother, and then speak to the rock before their eyes. It will pour forth its water, and you will bring water out of the rock for them, and so you will give the community and their beasts water to drink.” 11 Then Moses raised his hand, and struck the rock twice with his staff. And water came out abundantly. So the community drank, and their beasts drank too.

Moses spoke rashly with his lips ... I do that every day.

Moses consequently sinned ... and I don’t even pray.

Moses seldom “moved” in the flesh ... this is my common way.

Moses grew strength in the inner man ... I just mope and play.

The Holy Spirit gave power ... to Moses every day.

I ignore that Spirit ... I just move through what I say.

Moses gave his life to them ... who rebelled with much-array

and I do not grieve about the lost ... the ones I run into every day.
