Morality: A Construct

Decisions shape and change the way we grow,

But are the decisions we make truly ours?

Perhaps we are controlled by something greater than us.

Perhaps a construct such as morality,

Is this sense used to stop humans from committing inconceivable evil?

How would we change and grow without it?

And in a world without morality and values,

Would decisions even matter?

What would stop you from killing a man?

And what would stop another from caring?

Morals are supposed to be innate human guidelines,

Yet they control us to all make the same decisions,

But what if they didn’t?
