Moonlight

A sky erupts in a thousand lights

They shimmer
They twinkle

Reflecting the moonlight

Upon the water, bright, like a secret not kept.

This beach, this moment

Foreshadow what's yet

To be, moments like these

They're so perfect to me.

Let's stumble the broken logs,

Let's trip on two left feet.

Let's laugh,

Let's smile,

At absolutely nothing.

Let's clear our mind of everything, except,

The clearness of the sky

The ripples of the water

The affectionate sand,

And our quivering,

Nervous hands clasped tightly together
